Parents!
One of the greatest challenges you face as a parent is raising your high-school-aged student to have Christ-like character, which requires a robust understanding of the Bible, the Lord Jesus Christ, biblical attributes of God, and how to defend his/her faith, among other things.
Na-ar Ministries* LLC, dba C.E.R.T. -- Horseshoe Bend, was founded in 2025 with the desire to equip local high-school students to accomplish just that! We train students with tools to study the Word of God, the Bible, and help them grow in their understanding of key doctrines and truths, aiming to develop their character and grow in the knowledge and grace of Christ.
C.E.R.T. exists to participate in the fulfillment of the Great Commission of making disciples of young people by focusing on the following areas:
Teaching the truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ from the Word of God, the Bible (2 Timothy 4:2)
Building Christ-like character through the application of the transformational truth of the Word of God, exercises, and practical assignments (Hebrews 4:12)
Training in life skills, including the personal study of God’s Word, apologetics, spiritual formation, and practical Christian living (1 Peter 3:15).
This is all done so that the young people can learn to love the Lord their God with all of their hearts, souls, minds, and strength, and to learn to love others as themselves (Matthew 22:37-40).
The vision of C.E.R.T. is to equip high-school-aged young people to become godly, Christ-like men and women within their schools and communities who are capable of discipling other young men and women and defending the Christian faith from a Biblical framework.
Courses start October 13th! Space is limited! Go here to find out more and register!
* The Hebrew word “na’ar” has a wide range of usage throughout the Bible. The primary use seems to be of a male between the ages of weaning and marriageable young manhood. Therefore, the focus of this word is on young men. We wanted to use the collective term for young people (young men and young women), but it seemed to be much too difficult to pronounce, let alone use as a name for a ministry! Therefore, na’ar — young men — is used as a representative for all young people.
